I am posting my review a number of months later following the loss of my mom. Kathy and her husband are the most gracious and compassionate human beings for this kind of business, and our family has done our funeral arrangements with swilleys for a number of years and way back before I was even born. In recent times they’ve helped us set up arrangements for our uncle in 2019, they’ve helped us with the sudden loss of my sister, and earlier this year we sadly lost my mom unexpectedly in January.. every single time we have dealt with Kathy it’s just been a above and beyond experience and she treats you like a human being always! Under some of the most troubling times. Words do not express how grateful and thankful on behalf of the Gray/Hutto Family appreciate all the support and professionalism that they have done for us. We’ve always been treated with dignity and kindness aswell as patience during some of the most tragic and challenging times. If you want a loved one to be memorialized or celebrated in a dignified way! Swilleys is where you go! And I truly hope you guys understand how appreciative our family is for all the kindness you guys have given us every-time. Our late mother always thought highly of you! Kathy was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. She was incredibly caring, compassionate, and attentive to every detail. It was clear how much pride she takes in her work. My mom looked absolutely beautiful—more than we could have hoped for—and Kathy made sure to take all of our requests into consideration. They were great. Other Funeral homes were not up front on pricing (they would not email me the price and said that if we did not sign before the death, that the price would go up). Swilley shows all of their pricing up front and do not tie you down to a down payment to secure prices. The prices were 1/2 and even 1/3 the price of other local funeral homes. Kathy was knowledgeable and compassionate and she guided us through the process. They set up a beautiful service at St. Lawrence Church and followed all of our wishes. They did a great job preparing my mother in law and presented her in a beautiful and respectful way. After the service, Kathy continued to be very helpful and honest (she reminded us that we had credits for the Mausoleum and never took advantage of us). This is a very difficult time for families and I believe that some of these other business prey on grieving families. Swilley did a great job for a very fair price.

I called so many other places and Kathy was the first person to ask me how I was doing and for me that spoke VOLUMES. After the unexpected passing of a loved one and never have gone through the process of a planning a funeral- Kathy really helped me out. I never would have imagined how I could've gone through this process without her help- she helped out with price, the actual funeral process, legal questions etc. You can tell she truly cares about helping you and not charging you for your last penny.

Kind and Caring . Kathy was extremely helpful with planning my Mothers funeral. She listened to me and made me aware of my options along the way. She kept me informed before, during (the visitation and funeral mass) and at the grave site . I paid more for my brothers funeral a few years ago (at a different funeral home) and did not receive the same caring compassion. If I have a need in the future, I will call Kathy.

My Dad passed in May of this year. We were referred to Swilley Funeral Home by Rest Haven Memorial. When we arrived Kathryn was straight forward and provided us everything that it would cost and take for them to help us. Their rates were by far the most affordable and they took care of everything. They made sure to pick up my Dad from the hospital the same day. As his only daughter this was hard for me but Kathryn took care of it along with David and kept my wishes of how I wanted things to go. We did a graveside ceremony and Kathryn and David arrived on time with my Dad and remained there the whole service. My dad was laid to rest in peace and it all was great thanks to them! I would recommend them to anyone in this situation. They will do all they can to make sure you are able to lay your loved one to rest in peace. I cant thank them enough for all they have done and I will forever be grateful to them.
